| Oh dear!
This is why I got new parts. There are still motherboards built today with win98 support.
They are dirt cheap and easy to get ram and cpu's for. I'm thinking about $130 for mainboard and cpu. $40 for any size drive as long as you get ata ide. and about $40 for 512 of ram...
Must have AGP and not pcie.
If you look around you will find one with agp or onboard graphics. Beware of not having to rely on just onboard graphics as some of the new boards do not make win98 drivers. Lan is usually ok and works well. |

| | I have a friend who says he can fix my old computer. He can get a copy of Windows 98 se. Its an old AMD K6 II but I atleast know Realty worked on this machine plus I have alot of old file I didn't want to lose. So I could have reality running by the end of the week!!!! How cool is that. I can't wait to get in there again. Once I rescue all the files I will retire this computer for a faster one ie more voices. |
